A They build on both sides, just wherever it happens to be a good place for them to build. Q Do they build in the deep water, or in the shallow water? A The deep water, as a rule, the nature of the beavers on these big rivers, they dig a hole back where the banks is straight up and down and the water is deep, they dig a hole back and dig up, build them a house in back. Q They start there where the water is deep? A Yes sir. Q And then build in back? A Yes sir; then some places they will build a house out on point, on the edge of the water; I have seen cases like that; most of them dig a hole back in the bank. THE SPECIAL MASTER: That is all. |
