Show 272 6459 4450 Hyde- C or just how do you do it? A I make my camp and set my traps and stay three or four days, possibly a week, owing to how much stuck there is in there to catch out; sometimes you can catch them out in two nights, sometimes two or three nights. Q After you set your traps, then you go out and run them and bring in whatever is there? A Go out to them every morning, yes sir. Q And how far down the river do you move? A A man that is trapping with row boats, he can't travel up and down the river only three or four miles. Q I don't think I got that answer. A You can't set a line of traps over three or four miles on the river with a row boat, because it is too hard work. Q When you were on the Green river, how many boats did you most there? A I saw a cow outfit down about seventy- five miles below Green river; they had some boats; that is the only outfit I saw. Q Whose outfit was that? A An outfit from Moab. |
