Show Record Exhibit 186 is in Cataract Canyon. The water there is rough. Exhibits 187 and 188 were taken in Cataract Canyon. Exhibits 189 and 190 were taken in Cataract Canyon. Exhibit 191 is coming in Labyrinth Canyon. Practically all of the pictures that I brought here are pictures taken in Cataract Canyon. I didn't take many pictures on the Green River because we were not surveying there. And I did not take many pictures below Cataract Canyon. Franklin A. Nims testified on re- direct examination as follows: 1461 All of the people that I saw at Lees Ferry were Mr. Johnson, his wife and family, with their house, barn and other buildings. When I went on down the river from Lees Ferry I left the 1462 river on the left hand side and went up to Houserock Valley and then over to Kanab, a Mormon settlement where they had a church, a few stores, a telegraph office and a post- office. 1463 From Kanab we went to Milford. Leigh B. Lint testified for complainant on direct examination as follows: 1466 I am 27, and up to a few days ago I was a topographic engineer with the U. S. Geological Survey. I have had four seasons as a boatman on the Snake River, Green River and Colorado River. I had been accustomed to handling boats since a boy. My first trip to the Green River was in 1921. We started at Green River, Utah, and traveled overland to the mouth of the Fremont River, where a boat was brought in by wagon by way of North wash, and we used the boat as far as Bullfrog Creek, and went out 1468 around to Greenriver where we got three Galloway type boats.
