Show Record referred to that we were about to undertake. 1439 The article appearing in exhibit 177 entitled " Profile negatives Canned" was written by me and designed to be a true recital 1440 of any facts that are there recited, and in my opinion it was a statement of the facts. On printed page 74 of exhibit 177 I recite, commencing on the second column of page 74, the fact of our starting out from Greenriver and sailing down to the head of Cataract Canyon, and then say: " Here ended the ' picnic' part of our trip; then followed in quick succession mishaps, loss of provisions, instruments, fire-arms, clothing, boats and life."
