Show Record in a boat in crossing back and forth. 498 The sand bars are continually changing from one place to another at Jewett, New Mexico, where I was on the river in a boat. I have never been on the river in a boat at Mexican Hat. I have had occasion to cross the river a good many times. I have crossed it on foot, horse back, wagon and every other way except in a car. I don't know how many different places I have crossed it, but all 499 the way from Bloomfield down to Mexican Hat. I have crossed it right at Mexican Hat on foot. I have never engaged in any placer mining down there. There is only one road from Bluff to Mexican Hat and |
