Show 632 s authorized to elect, if they desire, to apply both the participant' contribution and the matched contribution to the purchase of retirement benefits as follows: (a) At the election of the participant, either 100%, 75%, 66 2/3%, or 50% of such combined sum will be for- warded to Teachers Insurance and Annuity Associa- tion of America as a premium for a retirement an- nuity contract on the participant‘s life. (b) The balance, if any, of such combined sum will be forwarded to the College Retirement Equities Fund as a premium for an Equities Fund annuity certifi- cate on the participant‘s life, " Following a brief discussion, Regent Bowen moved adoption of the resolution which was seconded by Regent Gibson and carried. On motion of Regent Bowen, seconded by Regent Gibson the RESIGNATIONS ACCEPTED following resignations were accepted: A, Dr, Rufus Lumry, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Research Assistant Professor in Biochemistry, effective July 1, 1953, to accept position at Univer- sity of Minnesota, Dr, George W, Rollins, Instructor of History, effective July 1, 1953, to accept position at the Eastern Montana College of Education, Dr, Richard G, Barton, Instructor in Obstetrics, effective July 30, 1953° N. Marcus Peterson, Instructor in Mathematics, to accept a position in industry doing research. Bruno J. Zwolinski, Assistant Professor in Chemis- try, effective July 1, 1953, to accept position with the Stanford Research Institute, Dorothy D, Hayes, Professor of Social Work, in order to complete her Ph.
