Show A77 General Administration budget had been arrived at in the following manner: Expenditures 1951-52 $4, 547, 867. 33 x2 9, 095, 734. 66 Less: savings reported by Finance Commission $319, 833. 85 Booz, Allen and Hamilton estimated savings in operating costs for the years 1953-55 1, 600, 000.00 . 1, 919, 833. 85 7. 175. 900. 81 Less: estimated fees for biennium 1953-55 3, 183, 780. 00 RECOMMENDED- $3, 992. 120. 81 Concerning the Medical School request, the Governor stated that he was recommending an appropriation of $657, 793. 09. It was reported that the figures used in the foregoing statement did not agree with those of the University in the case of the 1951-52 expenditures and the amount reported as savings at the end of the biennium. The Secretary and Controller of the University was requested to meet with the State Budget Officer and reconcile the figures. In conclusion the Governor requested the Regents to take back the 1953-55 University budget and prepare another one consistent with the foregoing discussion. ADJOURNED 5:00 ‘PM secretary |
