Show Requests for Leaves of Absence. A. Sabbatical leave during the fall quarter, 1952, re- quested for Professor Llewelyn R. McKay, Department of Languages. B. Sabbatical leave during the spring quarter, 1953, requested for Professor F. C. Biesele, Depart-. ment of Mathematics. C. Request for leave of absence by Professor Dorothy Hayes, for the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters of the year 1952-53, without pay. Gifts as listed in Appendix Two in addition to GIFTS ACCEPTED the following, were accepted on motion of Regent Evans seconded by Regent Adam S. Bennion: Gift of $250 from Mr. Clarence Bamberger to cover a scholarship in the College of Mines and Mineral Industries. Thirty-three beautiful dresses given by ZCMI to the Department of Speech for use in dramatic productions. National Fund for Medical Education, of which Presi- dent Olpin is an Advisory Committee member, has awarded $15, 000 to each of 72 four-year medical schools, including the University of Utah.
