EL And I was ... in that force for about ... l943 until '45, 1945, then I quit the railroad and went to California, and I stayed there until ... sometimes, until I finish my ... little savings I had, so I went and got me a job with the Union Pacific railroad again. BM Was that the only job you had in California, with the Union Pacific, or did you do other work, there? EL Well ... I could do ... not a work, line of work, but I guess it was my ... my ... I liked to work for the railroad, so ... I just been with the railroad since, and from 1949, from 1949 ~went with the same company, I worked as a truck driver for the Union Pacific and I have been a truck driver since up to now. BM Why did you move into Utah? EL Salt Lake, well ... Salt Lake here, and then from Salt Lake here because I was a ... extra gangs, extra gangs, they move from place to place, you know, they do one job here, finish that job and they have another job someplace else, some other state and they have to move around and move around until ... until 1952, 1952 that I decided to settle down here in Salt Lake City, Utah, but working as a truck driver for the Union Pacific railroad.
