MM: He lived like rich people over there, a lot of cattle, lot of sheep. SM: I had a lot of cattle, a lot of sheep. I never worked. MM: So he never worked over there. BM: Yes. MM: We do, we suffered a lot. Because poor people if they don't have any money we suffered oh just like over here when we come to the United States in 1923 we stopped in Lordsburg, New Mexico. BM: Yeah. MM: And I see the poorest people over there and I said and this is the country I came to be well off, I said. You know, I never I am going to be the same. BM: What part of New Mexico? MM: Lordsburg, Nuevo Mexico. And I see people over there with no shoes, no. Really poor, you know. SM: Like we are in Mexico. MM: Yeah. BM: And how many were in your family? MM: Oh, my mother had 14 kids, but we only, at that time we were 6, and now we are just 4. They all died. BM: Did your whole family come to the United States in 1923?
