I guess what ... they just come to him and the guns on him. And he was ... after that he was like a that on the outside of the car , half way inside of the car and half way down like that. BM Were people sad because of his death? EL Oh yes, it was very, very sad ... BM So you moved here ... EL He was a hero of Mexico, he ... in those times a lot of people wanted him to be the President of Mexico, but he don't want that ... whatever you call it, he don't want it, he said he don't want at all ..• but ... the people most of the people of Mexico they wanted him to be the President, and himself he don't want it. BM Was he fighting for the poor people there? EL For the poor people, yes, when he started, well he started as a bandido, like they called him, like they used to call him , because he used to steal from the rich, because at those time the rich people they used to do whatever they want with the poor people, and ... killed them or send them to do whatever they want, the rich people, that's why Pancho Villa was against them, so he was stealing from the rich people to help the poor people ... BM What year was it that you moved out of Mexico? EL I was ... August the 20th ... August the 20th ... about 1928. |
