MM: All~ se celebra el d{a de la Raza. SM: Yeah el D{a de la Raza. BM: What did you say about Father Goddard? MM: Virginia, she got two years of education with h'im, because she went to private school, she went to the kindergarten until the 1 graduation to the Judge Memorial and Father Goddard, he teach her to read in Spanish and everytime he said, you know Virginia I am so proud of you, when people ask you what nationality you are, he said "Soy Mexican, soy mexicana decendiente, como se dice, Mexican descendant pero soy americana." BM: S!. MM: He said, I am proud so of you, don't you ever say that, work, I am Spanish-American, tu hablas la palabra completa, Mexica ea he said, I am so proud mucha gente, yo creo que por eso no quieren decir que son Mexicanos porque les da verguenza, sera por el modo que nos trababan antes, o como los tratrataron o I don't know, but we have nothing to do with that. SM: Too many years ago. MM: Los pasados eran los que eran verdad. SM: Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years ago. MM: No nosotros, we shouldn't pay for that no fuiste a una fiesta que hicieron a los Chicanos? BM: At the University? |
