Show INTERVIE,-J: Lopez Page 8 your papers and everything, legally so you can come, and when I come in, when I fixed my papers right, then I went and bought me a suit you know maybe it was second hand, I don't even remember, that, so ... because to come here, they throw you in a bath tub in El Paso, get all your clothes, shoes and everything you got on, and just to make a bundle of it and throw it in what you call it, desinfestador ... BM Hasher? EL Desinfest ... they just make a bundle of all the cloth you got on and they throw it in ... like a washing machine, you know, and inspect it, and I bought my suit on account of, I said to myself, maybe if I look a little neat maybe they weren't going to do that to me, but it didn't work that way ... BM It didn't? EL No, they threw my suit in there and by the time I got it out it -was all wrinkled and ... but still I got it ... you know. BM Did they make the people take baths? EL Oh yes, and vaccine ... yeah. BM So how did you travel from Mexico to Colorado? EL By train. BM And ... you were going to live with your family? EL Yes.
