Show 6772 Wimmer- D 4761 Q What sort of a load did you have on that trip? A This was after the Chenoewith party arrived, to make connection with it after they go on down the river; they have gone clear around again and come back; after we started to move down the river from Halls Crossing we had to leave part of our load; I went back and got it and fetched it on down to camp. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Let me see if I understand the situation. Do I understand in that fall, 1921, you made three trips down the river from Halls Crossing and three trips back? A Yes sir; that is, to different points. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Yes. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Did you make shorter trips than those that you have referred to? A We made a number of short trips while we were waiting for the Chenoewith party; we were in there, nothing to do, we made a number of short trips. Q Now, as the party worked down the river, did you meet the big California Edison boat on any occasion? A That was real late in the fall, as we were going out. Q Was that boat in trouble when you saw it? |
