Show 6888 Reeder- D 4877 sand. Q Did you get any colors? A Got some colors, yes, plenty of sand. Q Did you take out any gold? A No, I shipped the samples to the Carnegie Steel Company, to Mr. Scott. Q Do you know what the results of the assays was? A Yes, he sent me the results. The reason we went for this black sand was because he said there might be platinum in that sand. Mr Wheeler told me there was more black sand on the Grand than there was on the Green. We panned both rivers. Q Do you know anything about gold content per cubic yard? A No, I don't. Wasn't enough gold in, though, to get exited over. I didn't know about the platinum until after the analysis. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Did you get exited about the platinum? A No, didn't get exited about that. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: whether any of those beds have a sufficient gold content to warrant any exploration? Do you know anything on that sub- |
