Show 6758 Wimmer- D 4747 MR. FARNSWORTH: Of those accounts; they wouldn't clearly indicate that wad all. THE SPECIAL MASTER: They are the best evidence of what they purport to cover. MR. FARNSWORTH: Of those particular ones. THE SPECIAL MASTER: In case those do not appear, you better put in his best memory now. MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Can you give an approximation of the tonnage that you hauled? A Well, no; my son was doing the hauling, him and Mr. Gregory; really, I couldn't give it; I weren't there when they loaded the boats; as they would make each trip and come why, I would ask them about what they thought they had on; they were loading coal, and some drill rods and some supplies and different things; they would just merely estimate -- they would say, " Well, we probably had on eight or ten ton", -- something like that; that is all I have, so you can have it as I got it. Q On the occasions that you saw the boats loaded, how many tons would you say were on a given load? A I think there were ten tons on the scow, not on the Marguerite. |
