Nelson Sigma Phi Epsilon Utah Beta Chapter founded: Richmond, Virginia, 1901 University of Utah, 1950 Scholarship, campus activities and social events are integral parts of any fraternity, but Sigma Phi Epsilon differs in its approach towards them. Over and above the achievements of Sig Ep, its most valued attribute is its sense of brotherhood. Behind the traditional Red Door of Sigma Phi Epsilon are found members of student-faculty committees, Freshman Cabinet, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. President of the Young Democrats, Freshman Orientation Chairman, Utonian Associate Editor, Associate Editor of the Chronicle and the IFC treasurer are Sig Eps. Sig Ep won a first place trophy in Songfest and placed second in class B football. During u Days the Sig Eps sponsored a parking lot stomp with Phi AAu sorority. The formation of a new little sister group, the Golden Hearts, and plans for a new house brought the 1966-67 year to a most successful close. 217 |
