Williams Dean of the College of Engineering Unlike the physical sciences, engineering doesn't seek scientific principles for their own sake, but applies techniques of science to practical situations. The College of Engineering encourages creativity in fulfilling human needs. Undergraduate degrees are available in five basic fields and graduate students may specialize in three additional areas. With the completion of the new wing of the Engineering Building, the college plans to expand both its enrollment and its curriculum. Edward D. Maryon Dean of the College of Fine Arts Fine Arts Encompassing the areas of creative expression and interpretation, the College of Fine Arts is responsible for the development of the cultural and aesthetic interests of the student body. It offers degrees in theatre, music, art, architecture and ballet, and encourages students to pursue their particular fields of interest. Emphasizing personal extension in its students and throughout the campus community, the college supports several performing organizations which acquaint us with the tradition of Western culture and introduce the creative works of talented students. 4 0 |
