Show Man Si By Arthur Miller (DRAMA) october 13-22 Oct. 22-2 p.m. Matinee Called Arthur Miller's greatest play since Death of a Salesman, After the Fall plumbs the depths of ? man who is on a pilgrimage for self-knowledge. Reviewing his past and fearfully contemplating the future, he represents all men courageous enough to seek order in the painful and Joyous process of living. Directed by H. E. D. REDFORD Scenery and Lighting by VERN ADIX . Costumes by FRANKIE BUESNER The Reverend Quentin Kolb, a Salt Lake Epsicopal minister, established a first when he became the first cleric to play a lead role on the Pioneer Memorial Theater stage. Acting the part of Arthur Miller's Quentin in "After the Fall," Reverend Kolb spent the entire span of the play on stage. "After the Fall," a stream of consciousness menagerie of scenes from Quentin's turbulent past, is said to parallel closely the life of playwright Miller. As Quentin contemplated a third marriage, he was forced to consider his previous two, the first of which ended in divorce and the second of which resulted in his wife's suicide. Moving in her part as Maggie, Quentin's second wife, Lynn Fisher revealed herself as a budding young actress worthy of high praise. The stage itself was a curious collection of steps and platforms, spotlighted a part at a time to focus the action on one particular event after another. "After the Fall" was expertly directed by H. E. D. Redford. Reverend Quentin Kolb as Quentin. Quentin and his first wife Louise. Lynn Fisher as Maggie. |
