Show Sports Review-the year's best athletes Scott Etnyre Track Matz Jenssen Skiing Glen Cook Wrestling Ranked third best in the nation in the triple jump event, Scott Etnyre can always be counted on to give a winning performance each time out. With unbelievable spring in his legs, Scott, who is also a basketball letterman, can dunk a basketball behind his head. And he is just barely over six feet tall. Scott is a senior and will graduate in June. Developing into one of the outstanding skiers in his class, Matz Jenssen proved himself to be the top all-round skier in the collegiate ranks. Leading his team to a heartwarming victory at the BYU Invitational, Matz went on to win skimeister honors in the WAC. Not satisfied with that, he then duplicated the feat at the NCAA finals and became the number one skimeister competitor in the nation. Finishing his senior year with a fine 17-2 record, Glen Cook won the Town House Athletic Club Award as the University's outstanding wrestler. Glen, who wrestles as a heavyweight, placed second in the Western Athletic Conference and missed a chance to compete in the NCAA tournament because of an injury. A senior who has hit better than .350 during his sophomore and junior years, Steve Radu-lovich was among the top ten college home run hitters last year and has a near perfect .969 fielding percentage from his first base position. Steve is considered hot pickings by all the professional scouts in this part of country. Terry Craig, better than six and a hal feet tall, uses his height and long reach to overpower his opponents. A junior college Ail-American, Craig is shooting for the same major college ranking in the back stroke event. This year he set a new conference record in the 100 yard backstroke against competition better than ever before. Steve Radulovich Baseball 194 Terry Craig Swimming |
