Money Deputy Vice President for Operations and Construction Gordon Miller Deputy Vice President for Finance Deans of Students Dr. Virginia P. Frobes Dean of Students Dr. Lowell L. Bennion Associate Dean of Students Peter Grundfossen Assistant Dean of Students In a very important sense, the Deans of Students are essential to the completion by the University of its basic purpose - that of integrated education. For in them the perspectives of students and administration are crystallized to produce the university situation most conducive to the needs of each. In the words of Dean Frobes, their goals are to "provide multiple opportunities for the student to involve himself with other students in cooperating with faculty and administration in policy making decisions . and to develop student activity programs which reflect the academic goals and objectives of the University." Continually attempting to expand the students awareness of himself, his fellow man and his world, the deans see the greatest challenge a modern university faces as the fostering of "a student's ethical growth so that he is a man of knowledge who can apply responsible judgment to the ways he uses that knowledge." |
