Show Assistant to the President Parry D. Sorensen has worked with people in the FBI, several nationally recognized newspapers, and in teaching and administrative positions at the University. He uses his abundant experience with people in performing two of the most difficult responsibilities on campus: secretary to the Board of Regents, and executive assistant to President Fletcher. As Assistant to the President, he attends to the details of orderly management in university affairs and is directly responsible for the efficient functioning of the central administration. Parry D. Ralph Mecham Assistant to the President Assistant to the President for Special Projects Assistant to the President for Special Projects The "special projects" which concern Mr. Mecham are those which relate the university directly to the community and make its resources available for use by the state. The idea behind the development of this aspect of our potential, he says, is to encourage closer cooperation between the university and the community for effective uses of resources available to each and for mutual improvement in all areas. Mr. Mecham served for many years as administrative assistant to Senator Wallace Bennett before returning to his native Utah in 1965 to coordinate and direct this new and important facet of administration. |
