Show 166 and apparently are maintaining themselves in the river, and are peculiar to the stretch of river above the San Rafael. The Cable bar and riffle, on Plate 16, is shown as I found it on October 30th. Now, I can make no comparison between this and the Army engineer's survey. Apparently, the bar was not there then; there was no reference made to the bar and riffle. Mr. Farnsworth: That is the Cable bar? The Witness: That is the bar that I have termed the Cable car, 109.9 miles above the mouth of the Green River. By Mr. Blackmar: Q All right; what is the next bar? A The next bar is a crossing bar, at a point 109 miles above the mouth, which is also an independent survey, no comparison being made. Mr. Farnsworth: I did not get that last testimony. Which one did that refer to? The Witness: Crossing bar at Mile 109, shown on Plate 17. By Mr. Blackmar: Q What was the distance of Cable bar? A It is about 109 miles from the mouth of the Green River; I think it probable that that Mile 109.9 referred to the mileage from the mouth of the river rather than the miles below Greenriver, Utah.
