Show 156 A During that flood it might have had 10,000 second- feet, indicating the changes which you might have in a dry wash immediately following a rain. Q What is this flood here-- what does it show ( indicating on exhibit)? A That is No. 21; it is 180,000 second- feet ( indicating on blueprint). Q At Greenriver, Utah? A No; that is at Lees Ferry. Some of these records are, unfortunately, incomplete, the gauging station not being maintained on all of them during some of the years all of the year. For instance, this river record came from Greenriver; and we had no record at the San Juan or at Bluff during that year. Q There is a gauging station also maintained at Ship- Rock, is there not? A The State of New Mexico maintains the gauging station at Ship Rock. Q And does the Government use that for its own records? A The Government uses those records there to lengthen out the records at the Bluff. By the Special Master: Q Is the same condition true of the Colorado as of the Rio Grande, that the rises in May and June are due to snows, and those in August and September to rains?
