Show 90 flow into the Green River before the confluence? A Nothing of any consequence. Q The San Rafael? A The San Rafael, which is not much of a river at that time of the year. Q The Colorado River itself flows in? A Oh, yes. Q And all of the tributaries between the confluence and the point where you were when you had the flood? A Well, they are so inconsequential that it is like a quart of water in the river. Q At what station did you get this 119,000 foot reading; where was it? A It was at Lees Ferry. Q The San Juan comes in there? The San Juan, the second largest tributary, comes in above that gauging, does it not? A Yes, but I think I have subtracted the amount of water in the San Juan. As I remember the gauge reading, it was 127,000 second feet at Lees Ferry, and the estimated amount of water in Cataract Canyon was 119,000. So I think the 119,000 represents Cataract Canyon alone. That is something that can be very easily determined by referring to the records. Q You did not subtract the Colorado River? 2050 |
