Show 68 the velocity of the current is so great and so heavy that the currents pulled the boat away from these men who were holding onto it here ( indicating); it pulled it away from them entirely, and I looked up to see this boat being swept up this little channel, up toward the main body of the river. And that was not the worst of it; there was a man holding onto it. Fortunately, the boat swung down and got in the backwater on the downstream side of this pile of debris, and was thrown onndown shore, so that the boat and the man both were saved.
