What kind of land is there over there? A Well, I suspect that that is quite fertile land-- in a small way. Q Well, Is that a suspicion, or is it because of investigations that you made before you announced the conclusions expressed in this report? A Well, it is the result of the investigations; not that I was studying the soil, but I was studying the rocks for oil possibilities. In the region of Moab. there is a flood plain and that land was built up out of the flood plain. As you go farther up from Moab, up the river, you will find gravel and debris; that has been washed down from the mountains, and I would not say that that is good soil. Right down hear the river there is a flood plain which has been deposited, which leads me to say that is pretty8 good land. Q You know, do you not, even form your observations, that there are many thousands of acres in Moab Valley not now under irrigation or raising any crops, that would readily produce bounteous crops if supplied with water?
