Show 70 of the older maps. By the Special Master: Q How much of this portion of the river is this Exhibit 45 characteristic of, would you say? A ( Examing map) About six or seven miles. Mr. Blackmar: This photographs is offered in evidence as Complainant's Exhibit No. 46. ( The photograph referred to was received in evidence and marked " Complainant's Exhibit No. 46.") By Mr. Blackmar: Q Will you tell us about this photograph to be marked 47, please, Mr. Eddy? A ( Examining photograph) This photograph was made, as nearly as we could determine, at the point where the river passes from Utah and enters Arizona. Again, it was made simply to show the type of river and country. I depended upon my motion pictures to give my action pictures; so that many of these eight- by- ten photographs are simply to fill in the background for the more exciting motion pictures. Q How far is it from the Utah- Arizona line to begin Lees Ferry? A I would have to look that up; I do not remember. Q Well, just approximately. A Well, probably 90 miles. Mr. Collins: No, it is about 120. 2030 |
