Show 34 portions of the river on which you traveled correct reproductions of what you saw on the river? A Yes, sir. Mr. Blackmar: I offer in evidence, as Compalinant's Exhibit No. 13, this book, entitled " Romance of the Colorado River." Mr. Farnsworth: May I ask the witness a question? Mr. Blackmar: Yes. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q You say that the pictures contained in this volume are correct reproductions of what you saw, but you do not mean to imply that you were at the place where the camera stood, or anything of that sort, do you? A I was able to identify many of the locations. Q Well, what you mean to say is that the pictures there are representative, in a general way, of places that you saw, and that as to some of them you recognize the particular place; that is all you mean to say, is it not? A Yes, sir. Q Many of these are down in the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, are they not-- many in Arizona? A Yes, many of the pictures are. The Special Master: Well, do you offer that whole book in evidence, Mr. Blackmar? Mr. Blackmar: Yes, sir. 1995 |
