I read the books by Emory Ellsworth Kolb, and read the reports and publications of the United States Geological Survey, and worked on this expedition at spare times during eight years. Q Is Mr. Frederick S. Dellenbaugh a recognized authority upon the Colorado River? A I think that he is the outstanding authority on the history of the river and its exploration. Q Which one of these books was it that you carried with you? A I had both those books with me.
