Show 31 Mr. Blackmar: I offer in evidence Complainant's Exhibit No 12, being photographs of the second Powell expedition on the Green and Colorado Rivers, in 1871. The photographs are in the files of the Department of the Interior, and are under the seal of that Department, and they are certified to be copies. Mr. Farnsworth: We make the same objection urged to the last exhibits, to Exhibit 12; that is to say, such of the pictures as purport to have been taken at points other than the beds of the rivers in controversy here are objected to. The objection is based on the ground of irrelevancy. That is the second Powell expedition? Mr. Blackmar: The second Powell expedition, yes. The Special Master: That will be covered by the same ruling CLYDE L. EDDY, a witness of lawful age, called by and on behalf of the Complainant, having been first duly sworn according to law by the Special Master, was examined and testified as follows: DIRECT EXAMINATION By Mr. Blackmar: Q Mr. Eddy, will you state your names and residence to the Court? 1992 |
