This has continued, year in and year out, with complete disregard for the rights of our women folk. Such palpably unfair discrimination is enough to shock the conscience of a prohibition agent. The present staff takes this opportunit to denounce the customary practice as an outrageous display of favoritism and intolerable fraud. Our Girl friends have been "working out" this year just as gloriously and assiduously as the boys. We proclaim ourselves the champions of the co-ed's cause by giving the accompanying line-up and this meager bit of recognition, and we urge you, one and all to reward their success with an appreciative catcall. We are unable to show everyone's picture that is deserving of the highest of credit for their tireless and useless efforts, but by putting a few of the winners of several popular sports in, we aim to make the student body sense the finer emotions of a girl's life. Some of these emotions can only be shown by their ability as sportswomen. In other sports the competitors really had no one who could seriously dispute their positions. Sarah Moyle was unanimously elected Captain by the entire student body. This little girl has all the finesse which natural genius, careful training and years of experience can develop. She has a record for future players to shoot at. We hope they hit her.TWO CHI O DUMB ELLSâ- â- â- r â- â- . •»••--*% * i_ -» .+ *%•- •*- /' in â- - * ♦ Vi if' i /: Silt,M.â- : %' J - â- ,,'S'^TWO BETAS COMPETE FOR THE RYDER CUPThey both went to College. Jonas was big and husky, the coach gave him a job and he went out for football. Jimmy was small and curley haired, wore glasses, joined the debating team and the literature clubs. Jonas crowned himself playing football and Jimmy made a name for himself as an A stude. Ten years passed and we find Jonas slowly climbing down from his ice-wagon to deliver his last customer: And Jimmy? Oh, yes, he was keeping the book.*Se>kS£ .Three hundred fifty-six |
