Just before these last pages are turned over to the printer, we pause here to bid a reluctant good-bye to a task that has been an ordeal and a pleasure, never to be erased from our memory. It has burned itself into our very heart and soul. We have lived the 1930 Utonian; every minute of the day and night has found the thoughts of this book somewhere in our consciousness. This space has been kindly donated to the editor in which to make apologies to everyone for everything. We should explain to the Publications Council that if anything is displeasing to them, it is a mjistake. Also we should apologize to everyone whose picture appears in this book because the photographer took an exact likeness instead of an "artistic picture." But we have no apologies to make. The staff has endeavored to make this annual truly characteristic of school life and if anything has been left out, it surely was not done intentionally. Before criticizing this book, bear in mind that there is a great deal of work in publishing an annual before it reaches your handsâ€"neatly printed and bound. Also remember that it all done apart from the class room. The Utonian has been the product of courses failed, pleasures missed, and leisure cast aside; but if it brings you happy memories of your college days, if it reminds you that you owe the school and your old pals a visit now and then, we will more than be repaid for our efforts.Gratitude may be expressed in sentence form, but appreciation of the splendid service rendered by the contributors of the 1930 Utonian is best expressed in the book itselfâ€"it is both evidence and reward for their endeavors. If ;However, we want to thank the various departments of the Paragon Printing Company for their cooperation in every phase of the work. Mr. A. G. Wallin, Mr. M. L. Bentine, Mr. Jim Owens, Mr. L.
