Developed into our theme are the Sego Lily, the Rostrum and the flagpole, the block "U" and color, which is certainly typical of Utah. Also symbolistic of Utah spirit is the dedication of the 1930 Utonian to Ike J. Armstrong, coach. This book has been produced by a smallerstaff than usual, but by one which seems to haveregarded the work foremost in their activities.Of all the souvenirs of college life probablythere is none which is so cherished as the annualyear book. Every year adds a chapter to the most interesting book of a student'slife, his college career; and there is probably nothing in it which brings back morevividly those happy days than the year book.In trying to picture each phase of the school year the editors of this book hope to have preserved some memory of every activity. All in all the 1930 Utonian has tried to hold up a pictorial mirror of the events and activities of the entire student body, and if in the coming ye^ars they still hold and treasure this 1930 Utonian for the interesting qualities it holds, we, the Utonian staff, will be fully repaid for our efforts.ED FLANDROEditorThree hundred eight |
