There's no success on a football team without a lot of steady marching, and there's no marching without two such gents as Ike Armstrong and Vadal Petersen at the helm. These two and the varsity Utes form a band well nigh unbeatable. Ike and Pete have brought the school plenty of victories on the football field, but what's more, they've sent home to the opposition a feeling for regard and respect for the Utah man.CAPTAINSWho am I, sir? A Utah man am I! With so many acts on the gridiron, Captain Alton Carman, Captain-elect Bob Davis, and the entire Crimson tribe, but without so many words, convinced some mighty foes that the Utah stuff is in the Utah football player. And that Utah stuff is not celery. "Moose" showed them down in San Francisco that Utah puts out more than good-looking girls; Bob showed them at Boulder that they come no tougher in Colorado than at the U. of U., and next fall, Bob, with all his comrades, is going to show the world plenty of football.CAPTAIN "MOOSE" CARMANCAPTAIN-ELECT BOB DAVIST-#^^^m^l^^One hundred seventeen |
