There was a question about Elizabeth Whitaker's description of the interior, particularly the description of a bay window, a hallway running the length of the house from north to south, and an east-facing living room. The description does not match the configuration of the house and the question arose as to whether or not Elizabeth was referring to the nominated house, Apparently Thomas Whitaker brought silk worms to Utah in 1856 and they presented the silk scarf to Brigham Young in 1862 (Carter, Our Pioneer Heritage) . Is it possible that Elizabeth was describing an earlier house when she was talking about using the big bay window for the worms? This discrepancy needs to be addressed. The narrative states that the stone for this house is gneiss, sandstone, and schist from the pre-Cambrian Farmington formation. This is very technical information. Was this stone quarried or was it gathered from dry creek beds and rocky benchlands around Centerville an'd Farmington? Please provide a reference for this information. Please provide a copy of the title search prepared for this house. There is a discrepancy in the date of construction. Both 1862 and 1865 are mentioned in the narrative. Also 1880 shows up in some of the research material. The biography of Elizabeth Whitaker--does it state why she used the name "Sara". None of the other sources have any mention of that name. Also, where can we see a copy of her biography? We apologize for not recognizing and mentioning these issues on the first draft. Hopefully these questions can be cleared up fairly easily and quickly.
