Show Centerville City Landmarks Commissioners Giving Service Michell has been on the Commission since 2005 and brings a tremendous knowledge of preservation to the group. She served as the Landmarks Commission Chair during 2012 and has contributed many volunteer hours to help the Commission be successful. Walking Tour Each year Michell has been a tour guide for local elementary students, teaching them the fascinating history of our community. Michell Powers Historic Living Michell and her family lived in the historic Kilbourn-Leak home for several years before building behind the historic home. Her family proudly still owns the home and maintains its beautiful charm. Choosing to Join I chose to serve on the Landmarks Commission because I love history, and feel that it is important to preserve that history. I wanted to learn more about the history of these old buildings.
