Show __2__ Excerpt from minutes of the Palo Verde Irrigation District of may 12, 1925 book no. 1, pages 201 to 206, inclusive. This Agreement made this 28th day of April, 1925, between the Palo Verde Mutual Water Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the state of California, the first party, and Palo Verde Irrigation District, organized under the act of the legislature of the state of California approved June 21, 1923, second party, WlTNESSETH I Whereas, the first party owns and controls, and has been for many years past engaged in the business of distributing water from the Colorado River through the water system owned and controlled by the first party throughout the Palo Verde Valley in Riverside County, California, and upon lands comprised within the Palo Verde Irrigation District; and Whereas, the first party is the water company referred to in the act of the legislature above mentioned known as the "Palo Verde Irrigation District Act," whose water rights, water system, and all operative properties are authorized to be taken over and purchased by the first party herein; and Whereas, the first party, through its board of directors at a meeting of its board duly held February 12, 1925, authorized and made a proposal to the second party to sell and transfer its water rights, system and all other operative properties to the second party upon the terms hereinafter set forth; and Whereas, the board of trustees of the second party, after conforming to all the requirements of said act with |
