Show -21- Said board of supervisors shall also, by the Sard.011 order calling such election, appoint a board of election for conducting the election at the polling place, which board shall consist of three owners of land within the district and assessed on the county assessment roll. If any person appointed a member of the board of elections shall fail to attend at the opening of the polls, the adult persons then present, voting individually, may appoint in his place, any land owner in the district. Each member of the election board must, before entering upon his duties, take and subscribe to an official oath to faithfully perform his duties as an officer of such election, which oath may be administered by any officer authorized to administer oaths, or by a land owner in the district. The election officers shall have not only the powers prescribed by the general election laws so far as consistent with the provisions of this act, but also all such other powers as are conferred hereby in respect to the passing upon the qualification of voters, and the number of votes they are entitled to cast, and such election shall be conducted as nearly as practicable in accordance with the general election laws of the state, but no particular form of ballot shall be required. Sec. 5. Qualifications of Trustees. The g^ifica-board of trustees of the district shall consist of seven persons elected at large from among the owners of property within said district, and the ownership of real property within the district |
