tions, and an irrigation system composed of main and lateral canals, intakes, gates, structures, works and other property, and situate on said "Blythe Rancho," and other lands adjacent thereto. Now Therefore, the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars, gold coin of the United States of America, and other valuable consideration to it paid and delivered by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to its successors and assigns forever, all that certain property situate, lying and being in the Palo Verde Valley, County of Riverside, State of California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit:- First: The right to build, construct, maintain and operate a telephone line and an irrigation ditch or ditches, canal or canals, laterals, water-wiers, flumes, pipe lines, main laterals, and all things necessary to maintain and operate an irrigation system on, over and across any portion of said "Blythe Rancho", except certain parts and portions thereof as follows, to-wit:- (a) The north, east, south and west thirty feet of each of said sections and fractional sections of land, such thirty foot strips or parcels being intended for public roads, a portion thereof having been heretofore dedicated as such; (b) The east half of the west half and the west half of the east half of section thirty-two, township six south, range twenty-three east, S. B. B. & M., a portion of which is subdivided as a townsite, under the name of "Blythe City," and the residue of which is intended for additions thereto.
