Show 154 turned around mile above cataract ; trip upstream not quite as hard because could back off bars and try other places ; marked channel going down where they had trouble , got no results from it because channel had changed before got back ; got boat back to Wheeler ranch , but could not go to Greenriver not possible to get up there , too much rock and rough water . ( R . 1920-1922 . ) Ten days after made . another trip to same place ; took about three weeks , to make it , evenly divided down and up ; river had risen it shifted the bars ; had to find channel the same as on first trip ; had about same trouble ( com- com ) ing back as on first trip ; quite serious trouble ( getting getting- getting ) out of Colorado River ; Grand ( Colorado ) River had some flood ; their boat not strong enough to pull . them out ; used block and tackle lining along shore ; left boat at ( Wheeler's Wheelers ) ranch ; could not get it up to , Greenriver .
