Show -2- Articles of Incorporation of the Palo Verde Land and Water Company Know All Men by These Presents: That we, the undersigned persons, all of whom are citizens and residents of the State of California, have this day associated ourselves together, and do hereby so associate ourselves for the purpose of forming a corporation under the laws of the State of California, and we do hereby certify and declare: First: That the name of the said corporation shall be "PALO VERDE LAND AND WATER COMPANY." Second: That the purposes for which the said corporation is formed are these:- To acquire, own, manage, deal with, convey and dispose of real property and every estate and interest therein, so far as the same may be permitted by law to corporations, to locate, establish and lay out town-sites, and to dedicate, improve and maintain highways, roads and streets therein; to improve real property, and to construct thereon buildings and structures of every kind and character; to acquire, own, manage, control and dispose of water rights; to develop water and to store, vend and dispose of the same for irrigating and all other purposes; to establish, own, maintain and operate water storage and pumping plants, pipe lines, water and irrigating ditches and systems; to acquire, establish, maintain and operate power plants and manufactories and establishments for the production, storage and disposition of supplies, commodities and utilities of all kinds, manner and descriptions; to acquire, purchase, buy, sell, handle and deal with and dispose of personal property, franchises, rights and privil- |
