Show IHWtC# #EVERY DAY AT NOONAt one o'clock each day the Chronicle began to develop when the daily editor arrived at the office and fevershly started to tear through the day's Chrony to find any excellent follow-up articles. He gathered the members of his staff and immediately gave them assignments â€" then the calling commenced â€" lines buzzed as the reporters tried earnestly to find bits of news. Around two o'clock, as stories started to come in, the editor's work really began. He corrected copy, checked for length of the story, developed a slug line for the slug sheet, and decided upon the size of the head of the story. Following this, he wrote up a heading, and gave the article a final okey. As each story was finished it was placed on a dummy page; when this was filled with copy and cuts, the editor collected all of it and took it to press. Thus another day's edition was completed.272Editor Dale Bain supervised and assisted the daily editors and kept a close eye on the Chrony from its daily beginning to its completion. Dale has presented the campus with an interesting and informative paper.Editors Hal Zogg (Wednesday), Anne Mattison (Friday), Lawrence Lee (Monday), and Bard Jones (Thursday) edited the daily editions which created enthusiasm and gave to the students a thorough coverage of all campus activities. |
