Show H.0.ZC.The Military Science Department of the University of Utah has been outstanding among R. O. T. C. units, and its four hundred officers and men have enthusiastically supported the school as well as the department. The Army awarded the U. of U. unit a superior rating for outstanding scholastic achievement in Military Science and Tactics. The Department has kept up with all the new improvements in modern warfare. The United States Air Force has added Aircraft Engineering, and the Field Artillery has dropped Anti-Aircraft training and concentrated on a new type of artillery firing. For the first time in several years the Military Ball was held off the campus, and was a great success in both beauty and fun.Col. Hubert M. Cole, commanding officer of the R. O. T. C.
