Show flemec&minq...OCTOBER 27-30The unique Homecoming theme turned the Ute campus into "Ye Old Haunting Grounds" for a magical three days. Weird decorations erected by the many competing organizations turned fraternity-row into a deadly "spook ally." The nimble-footed members trod eagerly to the "ghostly" award dance where they twirled away the evening to the rythms of Will Osborne, and saw the sweepstakes trophies handed out to Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Kappa Alpha. The traditional alumni class reunions, the spectacular parade, excused assemblies, and the three campus beauties (chosen by Hollywood's Ken Murray), the gay-spirited members of the student-body, amid shrieks of "EEE . . . ! It's going to SNOW! Our decorations ! !" proved that the fall quarter fun-week was the most jam-packed time any loyal Homecoming goblin or ghost ever had. The Colorado Buffaloes were scared into a loss by the Ute Indians. With a car-load of brilliant plans, Betty Glad, Homecoming chairman, executed many new ideas in producing the successful big-time of fall quarter.Under the direction of Betty Glad, the Homecoming committee worked efficiently towards their goal: a bigger and better Homecoming.
