Show asPLdUeqtnsFootlights brighten, the house lights dim, and this is the supreme momentâ€"the curtain rises on the big production. During ACT I, which represents many occasions, the players appear in a variety of costumes, ranging from plaid shirts and levies to black and white formal evening wear. Here is shown the everyday life of the Ute student, with its many campus activities and celebrations.After a short intermission the curtain goes up on ACT II of the all student production. On the stage are beautiful coeds attired in formals . . . they are the campus queens, selected by the students to reign over special events. Also included are college Joes who were selected as campus kings.ACT III is full of excitement, thrills, and spills that are a part of Ute athletics. Featured are the football and basketball teams, and they bring long and well deserved cheers from the audience. The students say that the long lines in which they have waited to see these wonderful teams were well worth the trouble. Minor sports fill out the act to add variety and make it complete.Speech and music are the main themes of ACT IV. Many of the members of the cast are featured in this act, in both major and minor roles. Their study makes their performance professional in appearance, and they will long remember the fun of rehersals.Student publications are the special attraction of ACT V. Histories of events, records of fun and fameâ€" they add brightness to the review and will furnish memories for the future.ACT VI brings martial music, gleam of gold braid, scintallating sponsors, precission of parades â€" these add to the brisk steps of actors in military reviews which form the fitting finale. |
