Show DECEMBER 9-11Strains of "Silent Night" softening the bite of winter's cold, a red and green fashion show assembly, bits of holly and gaily-wrapped presents meant that Christmas Week had arrived on the U campus. With the theme "Holly Holidays," Helen K. Redd and her committee provided many festive activities and worthy projects throughout the week. Caroling, an organ recital, and the choosing of Kriss and Miss Kringle were among the outstanding events of the week. Joining in the true spirit of Christmas were the sororities, fraternities, and other campus groups, who generously gave their time, money and gifts to needy families.Santa offers hearty congratulations to Kriss Kringle, Bud Gleave, and Miss Kringle; Sharon Rich, at the Holly Hop.Couples pause for a moment at the Christmas Week dance to discover their fortunes which were hidden in brightly colored ballons.Members of Sigma Pi brought cheer and Christmas greetings to the campus with their bright house decorations.162 |
