Show The national reputation of the University's Medical College is well established. Not content with past accomplishments, however, the Medical School has constantly made gains in personnel, curriculum, and facilities, as well as organizing a new four-year Medical College recently. Research has reached an all-time high, and medical facilties have been extentively remodeled. Because of this opportunity for superior training and experience in local hospitals, many University medics have received outstanding appointments.The facilities of the Medical School were greatly enlarged with the addition of an annex in back of the Medical Building. Before the painters and carpenters had completed their work on the annex, the future Medics were swarming into the new labs and class rooms to begin study and research.Richard H. Young DeanA traveled man, Dean Young. He has tipped his hat in every state in the U. S. and also stepped aboard and traveled abroad to Europe and Africa. He is a sport enthusiast and enjoys being with his two young boys. Reading is a favorite interest, he specializes in biographies and histories.A pressure chamber, like the one being adjusted by two students, is a familiar piece of apparatus to the medics.Aspiring doctors study an X-ray photograph at the County Hospital as part of their intensive training program.53 |
