Show aumvaAPRIL 7-8From a small, one night affair W.R.A. Carnivals have developed into one of the biggest social events of Spring Quarter. Much of the credit for this noteworthy growth is due to the excellent committees, and this year's committee was better than ever. Due to their untiring efforts the whole celebration was smooth running and fun for all. Entertainment of all kinds was provided by the various and colorful booths built and run by the members of over thirty campus organizations. Carnival goers could do anything from tossing mud pies at pledges to watching movies. Everything from water pistols to live goldfish were prizes at the booths. A campus-wide search was conducted for the Favorite Couple to reign over the two fun-packed nights. All in all, it was a very successful and enjoyable celebration. The W. R. A. Carnival Favorite Couple, Robyn Tibbs and Clark Adams, examine one of the many entries in the cake contest. All of the cakes were lavishly decorated in keeping with the "Once Upon a Time" theme of the carnival.Kappa girls urged onlookers to fish for gold (goldfish, that is) at their booth which won first place in the women's division. One of the most popular concessions of the carnival was Lil' Toot, built by Sigma Pi. It "tugged" its way into first place for the boys, and helped them win men's sweepstakes.177 |
