Show j0undeti$' y)ay...Lovely Founders' Day queens Marilyn Young, Marion Lindquist, and Frankie Robbins blow out the candles on the 99th anniversary birthday cake of the University.FEBRUARY 23-25Ninety-nine years of progress of the University were honored by this year's Founders' Day celebration. With the theme, "Founders Forward," Gwen Quilico and her committee planned four days of outstanding events to honor the U's founding fathers. Opening festivities were a free matinee dance, a Union Building open house, and a flag raising ceremony on Hello Walk that was climaxed by a squadron of planes that flew over the campus. Featured on the Founders' Day Assembly were the winners of the annual oratory and essay contest. The Founders' Day Dance brought the week's impressive activities to an end.172Chairman Gwen Quilico and her hard-working committee looked pleased after a busy week of planning "Founders Forward" activities.
